On the morning of January 07, the admission of children for the first year of 2025 was held at the Sumedha College main campus under the leadership of the Director of Education, Nuwara Eliya, under the leadership of the Divisional Director of Education and the Director of Primary Education. The Principal of Gampola Jinaraja Boys’ College, Mr. A. Jayaratne, Principal of Geliye Pragnaratne Central and College, and the Principals of Kossinna and New Elpitiya Colleges also participated as invited guests. The welcoming ceremony of these children was solemnly conducted by the school band and their welcoming ceremony took place in the main hall of the college amidst dancing and singing by the second year students.
